Of the 92 counties in Indiana, Porter County had the most land and farms for sale. The most expensive property listed for sale in Indiana on Lands of America recently was $6 million, although the median price for land and ranches for sale in Indiana was $207,202. The average price of land and ranches for sale in Indiana was $309,965. There was 642 acres of sold land in Indiana recorded in August 2018 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a decrease in sales activity over July 2018 data. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $2.2 million. Porter County recorded the most land sales recently in the state. Most visitors to Indiana flock to Indianapolis for the Indy500 and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, its sports teams and the city's world-class children's museum.
